C&T Publishing is sharing instructions for embellishing paper with stitches, an excerpt from its publication Unforgettable Invitations by Melissa Collette Giles. According to C&T’s blog, it “includes instructions for machine sewing on paper, hand sewing on paper, hiding the back of your stitches, and sewing a whipstitch, as well as photos of several cute stitched invitations for inspiration.” Get the PDF file.

Oh, SharonB, you make me sigh with envy. What an endlessly creative brain this woman has. Check this CQ seam treatment, for example. Outlining the pattern in the black lace with metallic stem stitch was inspired. And the little row of sequin flowers made me squeal. As lovely as this treatment is in dark colors, imagine those little flowers in bright or soft spring colors. I have to go try this as a stitched border on a greeting card!
