I love Diane Gilleland‘s brain! Look what she stitched up! I’m a bit intimidated by the complexity of this project: She says the male robot is built from 38 pieces of plastic canvas and the female from 22. Considering that they’re just 6 inches tall, how tiny are those pieces? Only Sister Diane would take this on — and figure out a way to make Miss Robot all curvy! Ruth of Not Your Grandmother’s Needlepoint has a product that may be right down your alley. She says,

We have great new kits in stock that are less than $30 and contain all the supplies to make a set of 4 oh-so-hip coasters. Designed by Jenny Henry, a local young mother and needlepoint designer, to appeal to her friends. Each kit contains 5 plastic canvas squares (Yes, it’s plastic canvas but we all started somewhere), Cork backs, Three big balls of yarn (enough to make oodles of coasters) and complete instructions for one design.
