Reader Alexa alerted us to a new source of machine-embroidery designs, Embroidershoppe.com. She says the site has “the most beautiful embroidery designs thinkable.” I have to agree: They’re stunning. The rose cupcake shown here is a freebie! Get the design. And thanks a million, Alexa!

Thanks so much for the link to the Free Rose Cupcake. Its absolutely stunning so is the rest of their site. I made my mother in Law a teahat with the free design and needless to say I am in her best books now. All her friends cant stop talking about it.

The link to the beautiful Rose Cupcake freebie was actually the key for me to discover a wonderfull new embroidery site which is different from the rest. Designs are displayed in a way that you can see exactly what you buy. Seeing is believing!
For me as a passionate machine embroiderer, Embroidershoppe.com is a fresh breeze on the embroidery scene.

I HAVE TRIED TO DOWN LOAD YOUR CUP CAKE DESIGN BUT COMES UP AS DAMAGED FILE EVERY TIME WHY IS THISB SO?
Jan and Pat, I’ve checked the link to the rose cupcake, and it seems to be working okay. You do have to be a member of Embroidershoppe.com to download their freebies. If you’ve joined the site and you’re still having trouble with the download, it would be a good idea to send an e-mail message to the site owner. CraftGossip just reports on happenings at other sites — we can’t diagnose or fix their links.
