We enjoy discovering new and imaginative embroidery patterns, and we’ve found several that are excellent for you to try!
Our staff combed the internet for the greatest embroidery patterns and chose a few favorites to share with you! So, whether you’re a newbie or a seasoned embroidery aficionado, don’t miss out on these amazing patterns!
(1) Vintage kitties from doe-c-doe
(2) The virtue of faithfulness from Wild Olive and ode to her Grandmother
(3) CAT AMONG THE PIGEONS from Red Brolly
(Unfortunately, Bronwyn passed away and her blog is no longer active, and whilst we did drive traffic to her blog for some time it is now redirecting to something completely different. We have used a web archive to capture her original post and original design)
(4) Under the Sea block 8 from Willowberry Designs
These tiny fellas are adorable, soft, and cuddly, and are ideal for the young ones in your life.
(5) Sunburst Lion from Bee’s Knees Activities (via feeling stitchy — and be sure to check out the other free designs on this page)
(6) Antique Cookie Cutter Pony from primitivebettys
(7) Bluebird Heart from Plays with Needles This is simple and primitive design – This pony is inspired by an antique cookie cutter
(8) Five vintage farm patterns from Faster Kittykill! Blog! Blog!
(9) Floral motif dated 1879 from This and that…my random thoughts Here’s a free pattern from an 1879 book, Art-needlework for decorative embroidery.
(10) GEORGIA: Cherokee Rose from turkey feathers the ‘Cherokee Rose’ was adopted by the Georgia General Assembly as a floral emblem at the request of the Federation of Women’s Clubs, and carried out by Joint Resolution August 18, 1916

(12) Just a little Doodle from Primitives by the light of the moon
(13) Vintage duckies from doe-c-doe
(14) Vintage test pattern collection from Wild Olive Vintage embroidery patterns are lovely, but many of them are rather huge. While I adore this, I also know that I prefer patterns that can be completed in a matter of days rather than weeks.
(15) Russian Nesting Dolls from Four Wise Monkeys (via Day to Day)
(16) Vintage fairies from Bustle and Sew
(17) Four vintage Sunbonnet Sues from Faster Kittykill! Blog! Blog!
If little bonnet girls aren’t your style, you may zombie-fy, punk them up
(18) Bookplate Borders from Karen’s Needlework
(19) Summer Girl from Sew Lovely (via feeling stitchy)
(20) Vintage Peacock from Maureen’s Vintage Acquisitions Blog
You may download it and scale it to your liking. Straight stitches, beading, or a combination of the two will be simple to execute with this pattern.
(21) Cross & Lilies from Needle ‘n’ Thread
This hand embroidered pattern is great for a variety of church embroidery objects, but it is especially appropriate for a pall. During Mass, a pall is a square piece of linen that is placed on top of the chalice.
