I am in awe of this block created by Anna T of the Ukraine for the Crazy-Quilt Journal Project 2012. Because the post is just the photo–no text–I’m not sure whether Anna embroidered the motifs at the center of the block. Regardless, her combination of lamés and laces is gorgeous, and her tiny close quilting takes full advantage of the fabric’s shine to magnify the almost topographical texture. Brilliant!
