Nellie makes her birds sparkle

Nellie of Nellie’s Needles blog has come up with a rockin technique that I can’t wait to try. She says, ” I wanted that iridescent sheen that shines from black feathered birds.” She achieved it by applying LuminArte’s Twinkling H2O water colors to black fabric. Brilliant! Get the details.

    I love your idea of making this beautiful bird!!
    I´m a quilter from Costa Rica, and I was thinking about a little sculpture of a sheep for my decor, and now I´m sure don´t have to learn papier maché… y can do it with fabric!!!
