In the new series over on MrXStitch, Sequintial Art, Claire Barrett gives us an intro to tambour beading, which entails stitching with a hook. Many couture houses use this traditional Indian technique to cover large areas quickly with beads or sequins–as this Givenchy creation shows. Check out the post.

Where can I buy the Tamour Tool and spare needles? I’m in Australia, the only place I have found is the findingking in Arizona USA and they won’t send an invoice with combined purchases, or respond to the request via email, so I can’t get them, ebay declared me as an unpaid account. Where else can I get some, please!!!!!
    Thanks, Kathryn

    I just ordered mine from:

    http://www.lacis.com/catalog/

They responded to my e-mail and telephone call rather quickly.

    Good luck.
