The moment I saw this tutorial from Marching North I knew I had to bring it to you. What a fantastic idea! I don’t know about you, but I live in blue jeans. Let’s face it though, sometimes they can get a little boring. Yes, you can find jeans in stores with embroidery on them, but they can be super pricey, and the design might not be what you are looking for. Here is the answer to that.
This punch work method brings you the best of both worlds. You can get a unique designer look at a fraction of the cost. Better yet, you can personalize your jeans with whatever design you like. I kind of like the little heart or maybe a small flower. Not only is this method great on jeans, I think it would look beautiful on a jeans jacket too.
In addition to the tutorial’s step by step instructions and photos on how to do it, there is also a video tutorial included. Who isn’t watching videos these days?! The author even provides instructions to make it washable, and what supplies you will need. One thing to note is to check the fiber content of the denim you will be using for your work. She says to use 100% cotton and these days, lots of denim has stretch in it.
You can find the video and tutorial for this awesome punch needle project here.
I have just the pair of jeans to try this on and cannot wait to get started!
