Embroider a lampshade

Jenny Ryan of Sew Darn Cute fame has posted a tutorial on Apartment Therapy for spiffing up an old lamp with a bit of paint and an embroidered shade. The simplicity of her running-stitch embellishment is no doubt beautiful when the light shines through. But I’m eager to see where embroiderers might run with this concept! See Jenny’s tute.
