Perfect for Christmas, this punch needle embroidery wreath pattern is from Chicken Scratch NY. The way various shades of green were used really brings the pattern to life, and the pretty plaid bow finishes it off nicely.
I’ve always liked Christmas wreaths. They are so welcoming during the holidays. Fun fact about wreaths…they have been around since ancient times, and traditionally represented honors and festivals. Christmas wreaths became a symbol around the 16th century.
Of course, seasonal wreaths are displayed throughout the year, and this pattern could easily be altered to suit pretty much any holiday. I could see it being made in autumnal colors for the fall or even pastels for the spring. All you would need is different floss, a new ribbon and a different colored embroidery hoop.
An easy pattern to make, you need various floss colors and standard punch needle supplies. You also need paint to make the embroidery hoop red. The designer provides step-by-step instructions as well as a free downloadable pattern. She even has a printable instructions that include all of the supplies you will need.
