The lovely folks at Country Bumpkin are sharing this gorgeous angel ornament pattern, Celestina, as a thank you to their readers and supporters. The site says,
Designed by Carolyn Pearce and featured in Inspirations issue 67. Lustrous pearls, sparkling beads and the glimmer of gold and silver threads combine to richly ornament this lovely hanging angel. Stitched onto ivory silk dupion with rayon, silk and a variety of metallics, the iridescent wings are created from pearl organza and echo the soft pastel shades in the bouquet of silk ribbon flowers. Rows of intricate beading and embroidery border the skirt and the angel hangs from a rich gold twisted cord.

Looking for a supplier of Silk Ribbon? We love Etsy for finding hand dyed ribbons as well as imported European silk Embroidery Ribbons. You can see the listings here on Etsy. Why use silk ribbons? While you can use other kinds of ribbon, it’s best to work with silk because It’s lightweight and very fluid and can easily be manipulated into stitches.

I think the word “stunning” is way overused, but in this case it applies! That little lady is absolutely gorgeous!
