Rachel Biel says the new Textile and Fiber Art List is “growing nicely and getting lots of traffic.” This “membership of textile and fiber art artists, business, galleries and projects on the web” helps fiber artists find each other and promote their work. Even if you’re not a member, you can get sidetracked for hours browsing the artist profiles and viewing the work samples displayed on the TAFA blog. Amazing!
Rachels says new members are still welcome. In fact, she says, “I would like you to put out a shout that we are looking for more members who can diversify the mix. We have lots of art quilters and now I am looking for more weavers, embroiderers, soft sculpture types, felters, basket weavers, etc.”
Find out more from the TAFA blog. Or go straight to the membership page to get details and join.

Denise! You are such a huge support to all of us! Many thanks for the shout and for writing such a nice review about TAFA. It really is evolving into a great site and the artwork is astounding! It’s really been a pleasure to bring this artists together.
Part of the concept is to make use of social media as a marketing tool. Many of the artists have started fan pages on facebook, loaded photos on flickr and networked their blogs because of joining TAFA. Using social media tools efficiently really does make a difference in attracting new customers and getting the work out there.
Thanks, again, Denise! Craft Gossip is a fantastic resource and all of you do such a great job in building our communities!
