This poignant work by Bex of The Blog of Arrrrghhhh! was created as art therapy — a way of understanding and accepting a miscarriage. Further proof that needlework is much more than a pastime in the lives of women. Please honor Bex’s experience and needleart by visiting her blog post.

Thank you for taking the time to comment, Kirsten, and for validating Bex. Miscarriage is such a widespread experience, and yet it is treated in our culture like a nonevent or an unhappening instead of a devastating loss. I love that women are starting to validate one another’s experiences through art and dialog. It’s time for this “secret” to be acknowledged and honored.
