Maybe this should be obvious; but since it surprised me, it may surprise you, too. Suppose after you transfer an embroidery pattern, you realize that the image isn’t centered or has some serious flaw. Is there any hope of removing the transfer? Yep. Patty of Pip Stitch says she has successfully removed transfers with Resolve stain remover for laundry. She also told me, “I’ve only tried on a pattern I ironed on, made with a red transfer pencil, and one I traced with a lead pencil bit it seemed to work.” It’s certainly worth a try. Before you live with a flawed transfer–or, worse, toss out your ground fabric–give a laundry stain remover a try. See Patty’s post.
