Halloween Spiderweb Hand Embroidery – Free Pattern

October 9, 2020 by Claudia Porter Leave a Comment

You aren’t scared of spiders are you?  Well, there is no need to be scared of this guy, even if he wove a spooky message for you.  I love creative embroidery hoop projects and this is definitely a creative design from Flamingo Toes.  The pom poms around the outside of the hoops just adds to the whimsy.

Using a backstitch for most of the project, it is easy to make, but there are some special supplies (like pom poms) required to give it those extra finishing touches.  A diagonal stitch is used to fill in the letters.  For the spider you will need to know the chain stitch and the satin stitch.

8″ and 3″ embroidery hoops are used, along with floss, some ribbon and fabric of your choice.

For me, the part of this project that really pops out is the web from the small hoop to the larger one.  What a wonderful design element idea, and what a spooktacular gift to make for someone who loves Halloween.
