Tricia of The Embroiderer’s Story clues us in to an opportunity to do “double good”: Let your purchases support both craftspeople and needy children. She says in part,
Several years ago, Wendy [Summer] was changing careers and wanted to get involved in something that would change the lives of women in poor areas of the world. She started to travel and found that there were many possibilities to help craftspeople in central Asia by bringing their wares to the USA. After some exploration, she founded Zaanha. Zaanha brings high quality embroideries, textiles and other wares to the USA for direct sale to aid children and women in Afghanistan.
