Tutorial: Felt Christmas baubles

September 24, 2011 by Denise Felton 3 Comments

Laura Howard of Bugs and Fishes by Lupin shows us how to make quick and easy felt-applique and embroidery Christmas ornaments. I think these would make excellent gifts for teachers and coworkers. And they would be great twofers–tied on as a gift-wrap embellishment that can be used later on the tree. Go to Laura’s tute.

These are really nice! They remind me of the ones my grandmoter made for our whold family! She had 5 childern and 6 step children which we all refer to as imported family!lol there was never a real distintion! Any way,my grandmother would have my sister and me help. We put ric-rack and sequins and beads on them and ribbons. We had to make 25 days of Christmas Advent Tree orniments for each family and their childrens families!25×20 at the time, you do the math! But it was so much fun to come up with the best or prettiest or the one with the invesable stitches! And we really didn’t know she was teaching us how to sew and be creative!

Oh, thank you for sharing that story, Gran-E! Your family sounds a lot like mine, so that really made me smile. Hey! Maybe we’re related!
