This is what happens when space-loving Rachel Hobson (Average Jane Crafter) takes SharonB‘s Sumptuous Surfaces on-line class: magic. The first class assignment was to create a monochromatic piece, so Rachel chose her beloved moon as the subject. Her idea to use buttonhole wheels to represent craters is spot-on. I really want to touch this work and ponder how she achieved all the variations in texture. Rachel is blogging a series about this project — from inspiration to implementation. Go to her blog.
