A tiny giveaway at C&T

February 28, 2009 by Denise Felton 2 Comments

miniI’ve been nutty about miniatures ever since young childhood, when a friend’s parents took us to an exhibit of museum miniature scenes of historic places. And remember that Twilight Zone episode where, after everyone falls asleep at night, the miniature family comes out and enjoys life in the Victorian dollhouse? My favorite!

Miniature quilts and needlework are fascinating to me because of the level of skill required to produce convincing, proportional work. So I’m excited to learn that C&T Publishing is offering Miniatures in Minutes by Terrie Sandelin. Danielle Dews’ review says,

With Miniatures in Minutes you can make a gorgeous miniature—with perfect accuracy—in just a small fraction of the time it used to take. The secret is the paper piecing techniques, pioneered by Anita Grossman Solomon and updated in this book to bring miniatures within reach of even the most time-challenged quilter.

You know you want this book. And you could win a copy in this week’s giveaway at C&T Publishing’s blog!  Go to the blog to enter before March 2.

Wow!! This would be so awesome to win. I’ve been wanting to do some miniatures quilts. I’ve never done them before.

Hi! What a thrill to see you mention my book. Thank you! I’d like to offer an invitation to drop by my website (http://terriesandelin.com) as well. Every month I’m posting a new project that uses the foundations from Miniatures in Minutes, everything from new pattern designs using these foundations to projects that offer fun ways to display your miniature piecing. This month’s project is a fabric basket that is so fun to make that (for once)I’m actually starting Christmas presents early!

    Thanks again and happy piecing,

    Terrie
