Abbie In Stitches

October 5, 2007 by Shellie Wilson Leave a Comment

Abbie in Stitches is written by Cynthia Cotten and illustrated by Beth Peck. RRP $12.50 ISBN 0374300046

This story was brought to my attention by a loving grandma (Joyce) who purchased this book for her young grand-daughter. The basic story is as follows, Abbie is rebelling against having to learn to do needlework when she would much rather be doing her own thing which is much like Joyce’s grand daughter who thinks that needlework is for , dare I repeat her “For Old people”.

I have not had chance to read this book myself, but Joyce insures me that it’s the perfect book for any grand daughter or daughter who is struggling to conform to our needlework heritage.

Thank you Joyce for your wonderful review!!
