Are you licensed?

July 16, 2010 by Denise Felton 1 Comment

I’ve had a few readers ask me why I never point to the free charts on their sites. They’ve worked so hard to create high-quality designs, and they’re eager for their work to be shared. In each case, the designer was producing charts based on protected material such as video games or animated movies.

We are respectful of licensing and copyright at CraftGossip. I will never knowingly point to a design that infringes on the rights of an image’s creator. If you design charts or patterns of Disney characters or Super Mario or Hello Kitty, I won’t point to them, even though you’re not charging a fee.

If you want to share a design based on an image you created, please send me an e-mail at needlework [at] craftgossip [dot] com or use our Send Us Gossip tab to let me know. I’d love to focus attention on your original work!
