Embroidery legend Francois Lesage passed away December 4 at age 82. For 60 years, he led Maison Lesage, the last great embroidery atelier in Paris. In 1992, he founded the Lesage school to train embroiderers. His work has added incomparable richness to the worlds of surface design and haute couture.
