Baltimore Needleworks recently posted about the best stitches for beards. She suggests that these be used for Santas, but you could also use them if you are stitching up an homage to Uncle Si from Duck Dynasty. Among the stitches she suggests are a variation of bargello and French knots. To see what else she suggests, go check out the blog post. I must give credit where credit is due. I found this post via Nuts about Needlepoint and Janet M. Perry. Check out this resource as well.
