Book review: A Rainbow of Stitches

November 14, 2009 by Denise Felton 1 Comment

rainbowHere’s the perfect holiday gift for your stitchy friends: A Rainbow of Stitches. As the subtitle notes, it covers embroidery and cross-stitch basics and includes more than 1,000 motifs and 80 projects. It’s not exactly a stitch encyclopedia — it’s more like a library of adorable patterns for nearly any application or occasion. Really. Alphabets to hydrangeas. Poodles to paper dolls. Poppies to pull-toys. The book retails for just US $24.99; but right now it’s available on Amazon.com for $16.49. No affiliation; I’m just sayin. ISBN 978-0-8230-1478-1.
