Brilliant! Shirt-and-tie quilt

March 12, 2009 by Denise Felton 4 Comments

ties

Thearica of PigTale Designs says,

A friend of mine asked me to do a quilt with her hubbys shirts and ties. My friend Marie cut the shirts into blocks and has needleturned the ties to the shirts making “faux” knots at the top of the ties.

I will sash the shirts in solid black Kona cotton and quilt it on my Gammill.

What a great idea!

I love this idea! I have ties that I have considered making a purse, and several other things, but this is the best idea so far. Thank you for sharing.

Where can I see the finished product? I like this idea.

I’m sorry, Patty. Between the date this story was posted (3/12/09) and now, the link has become inactive. I did a search to see if the blogger had merely moved, but I turned up no results. This is the downside of our extensive archives: Things change constantly in the websphere, so links within stories go out of date quickly. Thanks for visiting our archives!
