Catching up with Mary Corbet

October 15, 2008 by Denise Felton 1 Comment

Microsoft clip artI wondered why I hadn’t been seeing any new posts from Mary Corbet recently, so last weekend I went checking around. I discovered that about 150 blogs – including Mary’s Needle ‘n’ Thread blog – mysteriously had fallen out of my blog reader. I’ve got Mary back in the fold, now, but I’m way behind on her great posts. For example, I got a message from a reader today (thanks, TJ!) pointing out Mary’s new index of tips, tricks, and helpful information articles. I’ve got to call this a compendium – it covers nearly anything you’d want to know about hand embroidery. Mary says she’ll be adding to it because she has some additional, unfinished articles that would be especially supportive for beginners. Don’t ask me why she doesn’t make a book out of this stuff and sell it! But I’m so grateful for the abundance she shares with us.

By the way, if you notice that I’m skipping over great posts from one of your favorite needlework blogs, please drop me a line. Reader feedback is probably my only hope for recovering all those lost feeds.

Thanks for the mention, Denise! Glad you could catch up for a bit. I’m planning to add a couple more “beginners” tips this weekend and early next week… Mostly just thread handling and starting.

Too bad about dropping that chunk of blogs. Aaargh. I’ll let you know if I come across anything on the ones I follow!

    Thanks again!
