The call for entries has gone out, and Collage Mania 2009 is on the calendar. This annual online show of fiber collage benefits the American Cancer Society through Fiberart for a Cause. Last year’s event raised more than $13,000, and the goal for this year is $20,000. Each artist can submit up to ten 8″ x 10″ (20.3 cm x 25.4 cm) works. The guidelines say, “All materials are acceptable, but collages must contain some fiber (paper, fabric, or other fibrous material). There are no restrictions on content or style. Art quilts are, of course, acceptable.” The entry deadline is April 1, 2009. Get the details.
