Crafting for a Cause: Diabetes ornament tree

November 3, 2008 by Denise Felton 1 Comment

Photo from The Busy NeedlePatty of Pip Stitch woke me up to a charitable needlework opportunity that is based right here in my home state. The Busy Needle of Rogers, Arkansas, sponsors an ornament tree each year to benefit local diabetes charities. The shop’s web site says,

Throughout the year we take donations of hand-made ornaments and then sell them from Nov. 1 – Dec. 31. 100% of the proceeds are then donated to help fight Diabetes…We accept any type of ornament as long as it is hand-made. We have received all types of needlearts (cross stitch, crochet, smocking, you name it)!… Send us your hand-made treasures. We welcome all your beautiful creations.

If you’re interested in participating in this worthy cause, get the details on the shop’s site.
