Lisa of A Cuppa Tea with Me created this work for a collaborative art project being curated and exhibited by Danish artist Hanne Bang. Lisa says,
Hanne is asking people from all over the world to embroider these words [“In a war, someone has to die.”] in their own language on a handkerchief and send them to her. Together, the hankies will be displayed in large and small spaces depending on the exhibition space.
Why these words? And why on pretty hankies? Go to Lisa’s blog post to find out. She also shares entry information if you’d like to participate.
