If you like Halloween and you do embroidery, then you pretty much have to make one (or all) of these adorable spider web embroidery projects from Adventures of a DIY Mom. If you have a thing for spiders, or collect spider décor, then this is a project for you. I know plenty of people who would love to get this! With Halloween right around the corner, it would make a fun trick or treat gift for a friend that might be scared of spiders. Don’t worry though, they won’t get too freaked out. These guys aren’t crawling around.
I absolutely love the way the three hoops are different, but tell one story. That is a really creative type of display that I don’t see too often. Honestly, it’s the kind of thing I would like to see more of, and it’s giving me a couple of display ideas.
The stitches used are fairly simple, and the designer provides easy to follow detailed instructions. It’s definitely a beginner-friendly project. The finished hoops measure 4″ and 6″ so they are a nice size and will fit in plenty of places around the house. There are a couple of extra supplies you will need, but they are not hard to find. And let’s be honest here, I bet a lot of you crafters may already have them on hand. I know my supply drawers are always overflowing so I can usually find something I can use for projects like this.
If you want to make this whimsical spider web hoop art, you can find all of the instructions plus the free downloadable pattern here.
