Enter Rising Star 2012

August 23, 2011 by Denise Felton 1 Comment

Check out this announcement from Country Bumpkin‘s latest webletter:

We want to share with you the launch of our International Needlework Competition – Rising Star 2012. In the lead up to Beating Around the Bush 2012 we would like as many people as possible to pick up the challenge and create a piece of embroidery or smocking inspired by ‘Time’.

For many of us, everyday life can be busy and squeezing in a bit of time to enjoy a moment of stitching is a precious luxury. This is your ideal opportunity to mark time, or take time, to do what you really love and leave a lasting memento in stitches. There is a category for everyone, including Whitework, Cotton and Silk, Wool, Classic Smocking and Contemporary Smocking. There is also a Young Achiever’s Award and a Junior Star Award. We love to see what the next generation (or two) are up too.

Thanks to our generous sponsorship partners, there is a Grand Prize of AU$2000 plus lots of other fantastic prizes. So make time and start stitching!

Entry details and forms are available from our website…The winning entries will be displayed at Beating around the Bush 2012 and the winners announced at the Gala dinner.
