One description of Zee Longenecker is that she’s a stay-at-home-mom of young children who lives in northern Arizona. Another is that she’s originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; the creative force known as Pixie Blossoms; and an award-winning photographer.
One of Zee’s recent projects: creating these hoops of fabric embellished with embroidery, trims, buttons, and other tidbits. She was inspired, she says, by Purl Bee’s swatch portraits; but of course she applied her artistic vision to make the hoops uniquely her own.
“I came up with the idea of using darling floral fabrics and linen to make some romantic, delicate adorns for the walls.” Zee says on her blog. “Great for kids room and perfect gift for a mom to be! The embroidery designs are by me. I usually don’t have copies of them, because I draw direct on the linen.”
You can buy Zee’s creations through her online shop. And you can see more of Zee’s work on flickr. (In fact, we discovered Zee through our CraftGossip flickr pool. Why not submit your craft work for review?)
