Foto/Fiber makes a difference

January 15, 2012 by Denise Felton 1 Comment

Foto/Fiber 2012 is Virginia Spiegel‘s monumental effort to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. The current push is to add US$ 7,000 to the US$ 215,000 she already has raised! How does Foto/Fiber work? In brief, for a donation of $100 or $50, you receive a professional photo of amazing fiber art. You also get a chance to win an original work of fiber art. In fact, just by spreading the word, you stand to win some awesome prizes. This project is definitely a winner for everyone involved and, most importantly, for cancer research. Get all the details and see a list of the fiber art celebrities who have donated work at Lyric Kinard’s Lyric Art post.

Thanks for the nice shout-out about Foto/Fiber 2012. I just wanted to clarify that the photos are not of fiber art, but are beautiful and inspiring and taken by three fiber artists. We all need a little beautiful in our day. V.
