Free hand-embroidery patterns

July 24, 2011 by Denise Felton 1 Comment

Embroidery is a centuries-old art form that anybody may appreciate. There are chosen embroidered patterns to try out whether you are a novice or an expert embroiderer.
We picked patterns that were both simple to follow and fashionable. We hope you have as much fun testing out these new designs as we did!

We’ve chosen designs that are both classic and contemporary, and we think they’ll be perfect for both men and women. We’ve also included a range of sizes so you can find the perfect design for your needs.

(1) French Script Saturday – R from Shawkl
(2) Happy Birthday from Hudson’s Holidays

This little stitchery is really cute made into a pin…with 1″ fabric borders (1 1/2″ with seam allowances)

(3) La Mariposa from Geninne’s Art Blog
(4) Tudor-Style Rose from Needle ‘n’ Thread  There’s a PDF version of this patternwith four different sizes included.

(5) FLORIDA–Orange Blossom from turkey feathers COLORS:  petals–cream #3823; centers–pale yellow #4080; leaves/stems–lime green #704; letters–smoke gray #645.

(6) Wednesday Wine Country Monograms – I from Shawkl

(7) Sisters (Featuring Brutus the Cat) from The Red Brolly

(Unfortunately, Bronwyn passed away and her blog is no longer active, and whilst we did drive traffic to her blog for some time it is now redirecting to something completely different. We have used web archive to capture her original post and original design)

(9) Friday Freebie from Pin Tangle

(10) Vintage stitcher from doe-c-doe
