Free online class: Thread painting

August 29, 2008 by Denise Felton 1 Comment

Needlework and photo by Helen StevensMary Corbet of Needle ‘n’ Thread blog has posted a rockin review of Helen Stevens‘ site, Fritillary and True Embroideries. (Read the whole article; you’ll enjoy it.) I got especially excited when I read this: “If thread painting (aka needlepainting, long and short stitch shading, etc. etc. etc.) interests but intimidates you, perhaps you should take a look at Helen’s online classes. She offers a basic class on the Champagne Rose for free. The classes include the pattern and instructions, suggested materials (you can buy a materials pack for each course), and video instruction.”

I can’t wait to check out the free online class. Thanks so much for the heads-up, Mary!
