These are great! I have a wonderful vintage quilt my great-grandmother made that has embroidered state flowers. It has 48 states so it was probably made in the late 40s or 50s. It is a definite classic and one of my favorite vintage treasures.

Hi, I downloaded these patterns a few years ago and have been working on them, but I see I’ve lost W.V..’s Big Laurel. I had chosen them because they were free and also fairly similar to the patterns from a quilt that my grandmother started painting for a quilt and didn’t finish. However blocks also had a heart around each flower and a small pair of strawberry hearts inside & other small embellishments. She had only 17 1/2 blocks finished and my mom wanted me to finish the quilt. I don’t paint, but like to embroidery and agreed to do it. There are now 28 blocks done & 8 more with the centers done, but not the embellishments. I’m in a different place now and not connected to a printer. I will try again to download that particular state flower, but my tech skills are “iffy” and I may be back for help (an e-mail of that , or something. In either case, a big thank you to Vicki, from Turkey Feathers, where I got the other patterns.
