Free Sajou Embroidery Patterns

Wait what is Sajou you ask? not a what but a who …

In the nineteenth century, Monsieur Sajou was well-known. Jacques-simon Sajou (1802-1882) was the first person in France to produce large-scale needlework design charts. Jacques-Simon Sajou, originally from Sens, established a modest workshop on the Ile de la Cité (Paris). He traveled about a lot before settling at the 3rd arrondissement’s rue Michel-le-Comte from 1842 to 1845.

Maison Sajou is a historic name in French embroidery, dating back to its founding in the 1840s by Jacques-Simon Sajou on Paris’

Maison Sajou is well-known for its beautiful threads, needles, scissors, alphabet designs for cross stitch and embroidery, and other haberdashery. All of these items are manufactured in France.

Until the turn of the century, Fil Au Chinois was one of the most well-known thread brands in France and Europe.  Maison Sajou is famous for the quality of their embroidery scissors .
