French Knots Heart Hand Embroidery Pattern

January 3, 2021 by Claudia Porter Leave a Comment

Ok all you hand embroidery lovers…it’s time to get out your needle and thread and whip up one (or more) of these beautiful french knots hearts.  The Sewing Loft brings us this charming and easy project.

I especially love the fact that she made one into a tiny pillow pincushion.  How cute is that?!  There are a couple of examples in red and in various shades of pink, so you get a nice idea of how various colors look.

You will need some standard embroidery supplies and a piece of fabric that has been stamped with the heart shape.  However, if you don’t have that, you will probably be able to improvise.

There are a lot of french knots in this project.  However, it’s a great project if you are just learning the stitch or if it’s your absolute favorite stitch to make.  The tutorial takes you through the stitch step-by-step and has detailed instructions and photos to help you out.  You’ll be a pro in no time.

Perfect for Valentine’s Day or for another special occasion, you’ll want to make more than one of these sweet little hearts.
