Get this: 144 CQ stitches

January 7, 2009 by Denise Felton Leave a Comment

Holy floss! Crazy-quilter Shawkl has come up with an awesomely generous goal for 2009: She’s planning to post 12 dozen different seam stitches over the next 12 months!!! She says,

One of my personal goals in 2009 is to become much more proficient in stitching Crazy Quilt seams. So, to keep me motivated I am starting a challenge for myself. You are invited to stitch along with me… My intent is to expand on basic stitches that all should master quickly. So, this is going to be at the beginner level. Each week I will post some stitches using a basic stitch as the starting point. I will post a photo of the stitched example … and the stitch chart. Feel free to use them to expand your stitch library. These are my designs and my stitching…so I ask that you honor my request not to use them for any endeavor of profit.

The series started on December 28, and Shawkl has already posted six seam treatments with templates and diagrams. This project promises to turn into an online stitch library. Get started stitching now!

Many thanks to reader Talia of The Talia Effect for pointing out this super resource!
