Grab a bag of CQ scraps

October 16, 2011 by Denise Felton

If you’re a crazy-quilter, you’ll definitely want to get in on Flaming Nora‘s mondo giveaway. As a costume designer, she has towering mounds of small scraps of exotic and unusual fabrics. And she has decided to de-hoardify her studio space by sharing them out to us. She says,

A very large amount of it is brightly coloured silk dupion. I can’t say exactly what you will be getting, every bag will be different. The only thing I ask is that you take photos of your finished works of beauty and send them to the flicker group. I am happy to send the first 15 or so bags out for free to any where, then I will be putting them on etsy. There will be no charge for the fabrics, just a small and fair charge to cover the postage and paypall fees.

To get an idea of what we’re talking about, just take a look at this photo of one of Nora’s scrap creations. Gorgeous! To get into the draw, go to her blog post and leave a comment right away!
