I am totally stealing kootoyoo‘s idea for quick, inexpensive, Christmas gifts: embroidered corner bookmarks. Ever have trouble figuring out which page the bookmark refers to? She says, “X marks the spot”: Put the X on the page you want to return to. (The other side of the bookmark does not have an X.) She also notes that she used a couple of small stick-on magnets to make sure the bookmark stays in place. I haven’t quite figured out how that works, yet; but I’ll come up with something. Or maybe kootoyoo will treat us to a tutorial! Yeah, that’s the ticket. Go see her post.

I have a similar bookmark that my daughter made for me cut from the corner of a regular mail envelope. She colored it and put stickers on it. It works great!
