Hand Embroidered Necklace – DIY Tutorial

October 7, 2020 by Claudia Porter Leave a Comment

Looking for a unique way to spruce up your fashion wardrobe?  Tired of wearing the same jewelry every day?  Why not try making your own necklace.  It’s super easy with this wonderful DIY tutorial from Dear Handmade Life.

From the moment I saw this project I knew it was going on my to-do list.  Step-by-step instructions and gorgeous photos are included in the tutorial, so you shouldn’t have any problems making it.

The designer uses the satin stitch to get that smooth and uniform look to the piece.  Once she has taken you through the embroidery, she gives you all of the steps needed to turn the embroidery into a necklace.  You do need a few supplies, but the author lets you know exactly what is required.

There are so many ways to personalize this piece.  From changing up the colors, to increasing or decreasing the size, this necklace would look lovely on anyone.  I can imagine making the half moon shape a bit larger and hanging it on a longer chain.  Set against a black sweater and your outfit would be the talk of the town!  Now all I need to do is find the time to make one.
