Remember all of those pretty hand embroidered tea towels your grandmother had around her house? You can make your very own with this tutorial from Clover USA. Designed by Carol Mesimer, you will find a bluebird and a row of flowers.
You will need to know some basic stitches including the outline stitch, chain stitch and the back stitch. If you unfamiliar with any of them, there is a link to a stitch tutorial provided.
Other than that, you will need some embroidery supplies which are listed in detail.
The tutorial also includes instructions for transferring the pattern to the fabric, as well as photos demonstrating the project.
What a pretty gift these tea towels would make for someone special in your life. And don’t forget to pamper yourself too. My powder room would be a perfect spot for that floral one.
