There are a few major initiatives underway…One is creating needlepoint as practical and beautiful solutions to everyday needs in the home. To that end, we have begun adding categories. One category is that of bench cushions to go with various benches we found at trade shows. We are not in the furniture business of course, but we are going to give people the choice as to buy a bench from Art Needlepoint or be directed to retailers who carry the benches that many of our cushions are sized for. We are also creating window treatments with needlepoint; as well as smaller items such as placemats, pincushions, lingerie pouches, clothing embellishments, coasters, memo boards…and more.
What we are particularly excited about is an art history timeline infused with needlework history. We expect that we will be launching some of the timeline onto the site this month, and continue to add to it over the spring (yes there will be a spring!) and summer.
