Happy anniversary, Heirloom Artisan Expos

February 16, 2009 by Denise Felton 1 Comment

Congratulations to Kim Signori and Debbie Boren, who are beginning their second year of Heirloom Artisan Expos! Here’s what makes their shows unique:

Many arts and crafts shows have made a bad name for Artisans and Crafters by claiming to have only hand made items but, in fact, were inundated with commercial items, and party plans. They also have been known to have an unbalanced amount of one type of art or craft. Heirloom Artisan Expos is changing that by providing a new place for Artisans and Crafters to sell and show their unique, one of a kind, and handcrafted items to the public…Each medium, or type of artisan/crafter, is limited to a maximum of 20% of the show. In other words, there will not be an overwhelming amount of one type of item. This makes it enjoyable for all types of shoppers and keeps it fair for the Artisans and Crafters, as well. Every artisan and crafter is juried, and absolutely no commercial items are allowed…Admission to Heirloom Artisan Expos is donated to charities and organizations. This is Debbie and Kim’s way of giving back to communities and organizations that touch their hearts, and the lives of so many of their artisans and the public.

If you’d like more information about marketing your work through Heirloom Artisan Expos or attending a show, see the Heirloom site.

Thank you so much for your Anniversary wish. We’re excited about our 2nd year. We have met many fabulous artisans and crafters since our first show, and look forward to meeting many more. Visit us in April, October and December to see us and many artisans and crafters in action.
