How to Machine Embroider on Balsa Wood

October 7, 2021 by Claudia Porter Leave a Comment

This is probably one of the most unique embroidery ideas I have seen in a long time.  It is machine embroidery on balsa wood!  How cool is that?  The tutorial is over on the Sewing Machine Fun website.

With detailed photos and instructions, you should not have too many problems giving this a try.  I have a hunch it does a number on your machine needle, but not to worry.  The tutorial has all kinds of tips and techniques to help guide you through the process.

Wouldn’t something like this be perfect for a Christmas tree ornament?  You could put any design you wanted to on your project.

It is not that often that one comes across a new embroidery technique, and I’m so glad I saw this.
