How to Make a Box for Perle Cotton Spools

July 22, 2021 by Claudia Porter Leave a Comment

I don’t know about you, but once I start using a spool of perle cotton it inevitably ends up a tangled mess.  This box design from Stitches of Life – Lelia Evelyn is a great solution for that problem.

In the tutorial you will find step by step photos with some instructions.  You will need a hole punch, card stock and some ribbon.  These boxes can be decorated to any taste as you can see by the pretty ones the author made.

There is even an option for a box that can hold one spool and a box that can hold two.

What a fantastic idea!  Hopefully, once I make a couple of these, my perle cotton won’t end up in the trash because I can’t get the knots out.
