Based on a quilt block, this fun little cardinal needlepoint pattern is brought to you by Nuts about Needlepoint and is easy to make.
Made with various shades of greens, blues, and reds (with a little bit of brown and orange thrown in), it is cheerful and fun for any season. The entire project measures 5″ square and uses the akita version of the scotch stitch. Standard needlepoint supplies are used.
You will find stitch charts and instructions on how to do the stitch in the article.
What is fun about this pattern is that it is based on a quilt block. I don’t know about you, but I think quilt blocks translate beautifully into needlepoint designs.
