How to transfer an embroidery design

April 14, by Denise Felton. 5 Comments

Chris of Ella’s Craft Creations shares an excellent method for transferring an embroidery design to fabric. Check out her tutorial. In her needlework tutorial, she will show you one of the easiest ways to transfer your Embroidery design to the fabric. You’re going to love the hand-colored poppy design that she features near the end of the post.

Transferring designs on to fabric has to be one of the most commonly asked questions when it comes to Embroidery. It seems everyone has their own way of doing things to achieve the easiest transfer method for them.

This article gives you one method but there are lots of different transfer methods out there.

Don’t let the question of how to get that pattern onto your fabric deter you,  there are plenty of different styles and methods that will get you stitching your embroidery pattern in no time at all.

Do you have a tried and tested method for transferring designs? Feel free to share them below in the comments. I am especially interested in learning how to transfer large designs on thick fabric for big Embroidery projects.

Thanks for the link. FYI – there is an extra http:// at the end that you may want to edit.

Superb info Ella. I do the same but never stop enjoying watching others at work. Yep the pastel watercolour is superb with a plethora of stitches! I’ll be waiting!
