Allison Ann Aller has created one of the most spectacular crazy quilts I’ve ever seen. It’s colorful, brilliantly composed of a wealth of enticing techniques, and utterly original. In short, it’s exquisitely beautiful. Allie has let us follow along through each step of this amazing journey on her blog, Allie’s in Stitches. The last installment (for now) came in her August 6 entry, when she posted the completed center block and the entire quilt top. I am completely in awe.
We’ve featured a number of Allie’s technique tutorials for the floral embellishments she used on this quilt. But let me encourage you to go to her blog and read back through the entire series. (It began with thpost on April 26. That’s right. She did the whole thing in just over 3 months!) You’re bound to pick up a thing or two, and you’re sure to be inspired.
